About
One of the fastest, most concrete ways to increase your ACT composite score is to raise your English score by studying grammar and punctuation rules. Reading and science require a lot of practice, and the number of math concepts they test is crazy. But for punctuation, this is what they test: 5 comma rules, 2 colon rules, 1 semicolon rule, 2 dash rules, apostrophes for contractions and possession, and they throw in an occasional quotation mark, question mark, or parentheses question. Taken in bite-sized lessons, punctuation is manageable, and there are a lot of punctuation questions on the test, so you get many chances to earn points for your trouble. Memorize the rules and practice applying them, and you'll see a difference in your score. Good luck.
